SCOTTSDALE, AZ and CHARLOTTE, NC - June 28, 2012 — Kyocera Solar, Inc., a leading supplier of reliable solar modules and renewable energy, today announced yet another reason to choose Kyocera: proven training support.  Teaming with National Solar Trainers, Kyocera is now offering a wide array of IREC-certified (Interstate Renewable Energy Council) and NABCEP-registered (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) training options to its dealers nationwide in live, hands-on and online formats.

Ensuring the industry’s highest standards, new and experienced dealers alike can benefit from National Solar Trainer’s extensive online training library and nationwide workshop schedule covering advanced hands-on installation and design labs.  These online training programs are individually tailored in three professional tracks focusing on the knowledge needed for installation, sales & business development, and engineering & design professionals.

“For almost 40 years, Kyocera has delivered some of the best, most reliable products in the solar industry,” said Steve Hill, president of Kyocera Solar, Inc. “Now, by partnering with National Solar Trainers, we’re able to ensure an even better customer experience with renowned, certified training for our dealers.”

“We’re truly excited to develop this training program with Kyocera, which is known worldwide for adhering to the highest standards in providing long-lasting, top quality products,” said Lars Rudstam, director of marketing, National Solar Trainers. “We take the same approach when creating our training programs, making this partnership a great cultural fit that will increase the reliability and quality of solar installations in the U.S.”

IREC is a non-profit organization promoting best practices in renewable energy for states, municipalities, utilities, and industry; and quality assessment for the growing clean energy workforce through the credentialing of trainers and training programs.  The NABCEP is the “gold standard” for photovoltaic (PV) and solar heating installation certification, designed to raise industry standards and promote consumer confidence throughout North America.

Trainees will be able to prepare for the full range of NABCEP PV Certifications, along with the ability to complete their continuing education re-certification requirements.  Live, hands-on trainings can be deployed from coast to coast to prepare crew members for commercial projects, sales, installation, and design. National Solar Trainers courses are accredited by IREC / ISPQ as continuing education programs.
